Alberto Teruo Arai Espinoza. Su obra y su propuesta teórica

  • Elisa María Teresa Drago Quaglia

Abstract

The architect Alberto Teruo Arai Espinoza played an important role in the Mexican architecture history of the twentieth century; nevertheless, and although he inscribed his name in the annals of his profession, he is usually remembered for just one of his works: The fronton courts of Ciudad Universitaria in Mexico City, a contrasting building in this building complex. However, behind this particular plastic proposal lies a sound foundation of theoretical and philosophical thinking, based on a broad knowledge of the technique and a deep human sensibility.
