De la globalización imperial a la integración de América Latina

  • Emilio Pradilla Cobos

Abstract

With neoliberalism, the world has been imperially globalized. That homogenization has dialectically worsened the socio-territorial inequality, fragmentation and exclusion due to capitalism, an evident contradiction in Latin American regions, city-regions and metropolises, also present in Mexico, regional paradigm of globalization. The promises of neoliberalism and its globalization have failed in a planet threatened by United States hegemony and by preventive wars of imperial domination. Even in a dominant and unique global free market discourse that dominates the ideology and practice, there are growing actions of those who think that another world and another Latin America are possible. In such utopia, the building of a new pattern of economic and social development implies the sovereign integration of Latin America and the Caribbean.
